I am an English lit major, and so sometimes reading books is exhausting. Still, I know *exactly* the feeling you're talking about of getting completely lost in a book--brain massage (nicely put:). ..

So, aside from the John Milton and Jane Austen, etc, one book I absolutely loved this last summer was Haven Kimmel's "She got up Off the Couch" (sorry, can't figure out how to do italics!) I recommend it for anyone who has ever been through childhood! MY book group discusses it here:

I am flattered that my book, The Women's Daily Irony Supplement, is on your "greedy" list. I assume that means you really want it! I hope you have half as much fun reading it as I had writing it, and do let me know what you thought of it after!

In the meantime, I invite you to sample some more of my work on the Off My Noodle page of www.judygruen.com. That's not greedy, that's just fun, for free!
Have a wonderful summer.
